I am so excited for this Fall! While I’ve been loving the warm days and all the outdoor activities, this will be my first ever Fall Season where my kids will be old enough to participate in all of the fun things, so I gathered up the best, easiest pumpkin carving ideas for toddlers!
Coming from Brazil (where I lived the majority of my life), carving pumpkins was never a thing for me.
I guess that, because I was in Rio where we seem to only have two seasons (unbearably hot and moderately warm), doing “fall things” was never really on the calendar.
So you can understand my excitement to finally do all the things with my kids this year!

Some of the things I’m gathering up in preparation:
Did you know that NOW is the best time to gather tools and accessories for Fall? I didn’t, either!
While the stocks are still full, you will be able to find the best products for the best prices, before the demand becomes too high.
Some of the things I’m collecting are:
- Pumpkin Carving Kit Tools – because… I don’t have one.
- Acrylic Paint Pens for outlining pumpkin designs.
- Glitter and Neon Washable Paint for the kids to get creative with.
- Halloween Pumpkin Decorating Stickers, because seriously there’s nothing cuter!
- Autumn Painting Pumpkin Templates, to have my fun with the pumpkins as well (I’m not big on the “scary” themes, so I’ll always go for Fall-related decor).
- White Artificial Pumpkins as blank canvas for indoor decor! Will paint them using glitter paint.
- Prelit Lighted Fall Maples Tree – I cannot wait to have this up in my home!
- Lighted Fall Wreath for Front Door
- Fall Thanksgiving Cookie Cutters Set – yummy Fall Cookies Recipe coming soon, and will be using these!
Pumpkin Carving Ideas For Toddlers
Yoda Pumpkin from Mama Bear Bedtime Books
I loved this idea, mostly because of how simple it is and the fact that it involves no carving! Such an easy, fun idea for toddlers to help you with! She also includes printable sheets for the ears, eyes, and hands.
Glow In The Dark Teeth Pumpkin from Kavanaugh Dentistry
Minimum carving and a whole lot of fun! With a simple wide cut and glow-in-the-dark teeth, I cannot wait to see my toddlers giggle to this funny pumpkin!
Color-Melting Pumpkin from Color Made Happy
This is one I am most excited to do! My 3-year-old loves everything colorful, painting and crayons, so I think she will be so thrilled to do this with me!
Unicorn Pumpkins from HelloGiggles
Hand and Foot Print Pumpkin from Bee-ing Mommy
I mean… HOW CUTE is this for a kid’s first-ever pumpkin “carving”? And, to keep it as a souvenir, you can also do this onto a plastic pumpkin and keep it forever! I cannot wait to have two of these to show my kids when they are adults!
How will you spend this Fall with your kids? Any fun ideas on your bucket list? Please, do share! I am more than ready to make this one unforgettable season!
